Adhesives for Hearing Aid/Audiology Device Assembly

Hearing aid adhesives must function in the wonderland that is the inner ear canal; acidic surface, coated with a combination of oil, perspiration, and ear wax. Our custom hearing aid adhesives are impervious to these substances to ensure reliable operation. Audiology device assembly also has its challenges. Shells and faceplates are molded in assorted colors using pigmented resins which reduce the transmission of light energy. Our higher power equipment overcomes lower light transmission.

Pigmentation reduces the transmission of light energy, which has a negative impact on curing typical light curable adhesives. Longer curing cycles and higher power equipment is typically required to overcome lower light transmission.

Typical applications include faceplate/shell bonding, as well as attaching receiver tubes to the shell.
