The Honle bluepoint LED curing system was developed for UV adhesive bonding applications requiring high intensity UV curing equipment, (point sources). Producing up to 16,000 mW/cm2 of intensity, the bluepoint LED offers wavelength options that include 365, 385, and 405nm. UV bonding can be optimized with focusing lenses that adjust light footprint and intensity to create application-specific curing processes. Programmable activation, multi-head capacity, short curing cycles, and long-term reliability make the bluepoint LED the perfect UV LED curing equipment for manual or automated production.

The bluepoint LED from Honle provides high intensity, light curing energy for industrial assembly processes involving UV and Visible light curing adhesives, coatings, and sealants. Up to four LED heads can be powered from a single bluepoint power control unit. The multiple LED heads can be programmed to operate simultaneously, in sequence, or totally independently to create up to four individual workstations. The Honle bluepoint LED is available with LED wavelengths of 365, 385, and 405nm. Any combination can be integrated with the power control unit.

Compact size and large data display make the bluepoint LED ideally suited for benchtop assembly with limited space, including cleanroom operations. A power adjustment feature provides the ability to reduce output intensity from 100% to as low as 10% for maximum operating and adhesive curing efficiency. Process Flow Control permits full programming of the curing cycle including exposure series using different intensities and dwell time for parts handling.

The bluepoint LED requires no warm-up time and provides instant on/off control. Actuation of the LEDs can range from 0.1 to 0.999 seconds. Each LED head is equipped with a removable holding fixture for easy mounting. UV and Visible light adhesive bonding can be optimized with focusing lenses that adjust light footprint and intensity to create application-specific curing processes. Intensities as high as 16,000 mW/cm2 can be achieved, (405nm). Programming, process monitoring, and software downloads can be accomplished using the unit’s touchpad control or from a remote PLC.

Typical applications include the curing of UV adhesives, potting materials, and coatings associated with component assembly in the medical, micro-electronics, mobile device, and transportation industries.
